I am very pleased wth this App! I have been using MPEG Streamclip for years and bought this App as a replacement that will work well with Yosemite. The Editing panel does what I need and the conversions have outputted high quality files! AND the UI is far easier to use than MPEG Streamclip. Thanks for a great App!

Did I say flawless? I used it to convert movies made back in 2005 with point-and-shoot cameras that could record video since I couldn’t import them into Adobe Premiere Pro 2014. I had over 40 video clips and they converted without any problem. Also, the interface is so intuitive that it does not require a manual in how to convert and very organized to what type of device you want to view the final file output. The only thing that you may have trouble is figuring out to which file output you want to convert…..there is so much variety (which is phenomenal!) for each type of device which is great since amateurs to professionals may have a selection choice to make. This application is a must have if you have old video files! Happy video viewing!

This software is not very stable. It crashes 1 out of 3 times when I use its Metadata search function. Talked with customer support and they are no help. They just basically told me to wipe the app out and reinstall. For $60 I expected more.

I got this app becuase I wanted something that converted VOB files and they are few and far between. Also having the ability to edit was an added bonus. I have been playing with the app all day and it has given me everything I was looking for and a few option I was not expecting. So far I only have one con After the very FIRST use and everyone after that it asked me to rate it on the app store. Two points on this A. I paid a good amount for this app and do not expect adds and to be pushed into a review like a free game B. I had only used it once how would I be able to give a good review? But far as what I bought it for it delivers.

This program is a great asset to what I do as a videographer. I wouldn’t want to do withot it!

If all you need to do is quickly convert an entire video file, this app does it well. If you want to ‘trim’ a portion from a video — it lacks basic functionality. Once you click the [TRIM] button there’s another [Add Trim Marker] button. Then you can drag the trim slider start and ending positions, or type them in the Start/End fields. I’d previously used a similar Windows product, Nero Recode. With Recode, once you click [TRIM], left and right marker buttons appear to the left and right of the video’s timeline slider, you move to where you want the clip to start, then click the left-trim, then where you want it to end, click the right-trim, and export. For some reason the $60 VC-Ultimate app doesn’t have start/end buttons to click based on position. To make matters worse, once you’ve gotten the positions exactly where you want them and then you export the clip — the start position is >never< what you were looking at within the app when you defined it — the exported video begins a little before what you wanted. Very frustrating :-( Also, theres a main Preferences option to edit without volume — but no volume control within the app while you’re editing. Considering the limitations of basic functionality, the app is overpriced. $5-$10 would be more appropriate.

This is one of best if not best video app Ive found for Mac, for both downloading and converting video from the web. An excellent effort!

Excellent and thankful they finally got an app for this instead of the download version from the site - this will be easier to keep up to date and provide what extensions I may need in the future - Can’t operate without this program

Previous Ultimate version of Video Converter stopped working with OS-X El Capitan. Then, instead of fixing it with an update, the developer makes us spend forty-nine smackers for the new updated version! The software works beautifully, but one star because of the sly dishonest business tactic.

This didn’t work when I purchased it and I immediately emailed customer service to have them credit my account, they never did. I have tried repeatedly to get a response from them and Apple over the past 6 months and no one has contacted me.

Just started converting my media to a media server for easier consolidation. Having to move with the military teaches you to “slim down” quickly. This is one helpful program and so far it has given me the possibility to get to a standard for the server software and the device I have decided to put together for my needs and mostly desire! This has been a time saver compaired to others that I have tried.

This is an excellent convert in both speed and quality. I specially enjoy the meta-data function. I only wish it had blu-ray support.

This app has made two decades of memories available to us once again. Easy + fast + effective + no problems with the resulting files = AWESOME.

I am a big fan of Adobe media encoder and use it for most of my stuff. There are times when I get files from a PC or need to export files that play well with PCs or I get some strange, I’ve never heard of it before, request for a specific codec - for those times video converter ultimate has never, not once, let me down!

I use this for splitting and joining files that have been encoded for my Apple TV. Unlike several other “converters” and video editors, this works very well - providing high quality video files, in a timely manner, and with excellent file sizes.

I have used several different programs before I went with Wondershare. I have found it EVERY easy to use with few shut downs.
